I love the taste of fried apples. It’s like eating dessert for breakfast. Fried apples can actually be a healthy and easy-to-make breakfast meal, if you don’t fill it with butter and sugar. This recipe technically isn’t fried. But the name is iconic.

2 tbs of margarine
¼ cup of water
4 Granny Smith Apples, peeled and sliced
2 tbs of light brown sugar
½ tsp of cinnamon


  1. Melt the margarine in a medium sized pot at medium heat. When the butter melts, add the remaining ingredients, mix, and cover.
  2. Cook apples until they begin to fall apart. This will take about 8 minutes.
