Healthy Oatmeal: Cinnamon Walnut Oatmeal

This isn’t a common type of oatmeal, but it should be. This oatmeal recipe is the perfect heart healthy meal. Try this recipe with cinnamon and walnuts! It can even be made for a quick afternoon snack.

1 ¾ cup of water
1 cup of 5 minute oats
¼ cup of sugar
2 oz of walnuts
¼ tsp of cinnamon


  1. Bring the water to a boil in a medium sized saucepan then stir in oats. Reduce the heat to medium and continue to cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  2. Add the sugar, cinnamon, and walnuts to the pot and stir.
  3. Serve hot.
